  Kalush Orchestra is a Ukrainian rap/hip-hop group formed in 2019. The core members consist of rapper/frontman Oleh Psiuk, instrumentalist Ihor Didenchuk (who is also a member of Go_A), and DJ MC Kilimmen, and was named after Psiuk's hometown.

In 2021, they started a parallel project called Kalush Orchestra, which combines rap and traditional Ukrainian music. For this project, the core trio was joined by instrumentalists Tymofii Muzychuk and Vitalii Duzhyk.

They participated in Vidbir 2022 with the song Stefania, finishing in second place. However, following the withdrawal of winner Alina Pash regarding a controversy over past travel to Crimea, broadcaster Suspilne announced on 22 February 2022 that they would take her place as the Ukrainian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin. They topped the televote and won the contest with 631 points.

MC Kilimmen went to Vidbir 2024 as a soloist but didnt qualify.

Trivia[]

  • They are the first male group to win the contest since Herreys in 1984.
  • The group auctioned off their Eurovision trophy and Psuik's pink bucket hat to help the Ukrainian Army. The trophy sold for $900,000.[1]
