Jump The Gun were an Irish pop/rock band formed in the early 1980s by pianist Peter Eades. They had some chart success around their home country but drummer Jimmy Compton left the group when they decided to represent their home country at the 1988 Contest on home soil.
They finished in 8th place on the night and eventually disbanded after the Contest.
Roy Taylor passed away on 1 June 2023 at the age of 66.
