John Lundvik is a Swedish singer and songwriter born in London, also a former track athlete. He was adopted by a Swedish couple and moved to Sweden at the age of six.
He has composed songs for other artists and also contributed to film and television including the film Easy Money and the TV series Empire.
He captured Swedish attention when he made his Melodifestivalen debut in 2018 with the song "My Turn", finishing in third place.
He won on his second attempt via a clean sweep of the juries and represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv with the song Too Late for Love, finishing in 5th place in the grand final. He also co-wrote the United Kingdom's 2019 entry Bigger Than Us and France's 2020 entry Mon Alliée (The Best In Me).
His backing group, The Mamas, succeeded him as Melodifestivalen winners in 2020.
In 2022, he participated in Melodifestivalen a third time with the song "Änglavakt" (Guardian Angel), his first Swedish-language Melfest entry, placing 8th in the final.

- John Lundvik was the voice of Simba in the Swedish dub of the "live-action" remake of The Lion King. He is one of two Eurovision representatives to have voiced the character in a foreign-language dub of the film, the other being Marco Mengoni in the film's Italian dub.
- Additionally, Svante Thuresson voiced Rafiki in the same dub of the film, reprising his role from the Swedish dub of the original animated film.
- He also voiced Paul in the Swedish dub of Soul, with Dinah Yonas Manna and Loulou Lamotte of The Mamas voicing the characters of Lulu and Marge respectively in the same dub of the film.
