Joëlle Ursull is a French singer, actress, dancer and model of Guadeloupean origins. Before starting a solo career, she was part of the group Zouk Machine. She was also Miss Guadeloupe 1978 and represented her region at Miss France 1979 where she finished 4th runner-up.
She represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest 1990 in Zagreb with the song White and Black Blues, finishing in joint second place with Liam Reilly of Ireland. The song peaked at #2 in France and remained on the chart for 26 weeks.
