Jón Jósep Snæbjörnsson, otherwise known as just Jónsi, represented Iceland twice in the Eurovision Song Contest, solo in 2004 and with Greta Salóme in 2012.

Jónsi was born in North Iceland, in Akureyri, and has been singing from a young age. At age 20, he moved to the Icelandic capital Reykjavik in 1997 to start a career in music.
In 2003, fellow participant Birgitta (Participant for Iceland in 2003) and Jónsi both performed in an Icelandic performance of Grease with Jónsi being Danny and Birgitta being Sandy
