Jérémie Makiese is a Belgian singer of Congolese descent. He rose to fame after winning the ninth season of The Voice Belgique in 2021 as part of Team Beverly Jo Scott. After his success on the show, he took time off of his studies in geology to focus on his music career.
He is also a goalkeeper for Belgian soccer team Excelsior Virton.
On 15 September 2021, RTBF announced that he would represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin with the song Miss You. He finished in 19th place in the grand final.
The following year, Jérémie was a member of the jury for VRT's national final Eurosong 2023 to help choose his successor, notably alongside 2009 winner Alexander Rybak, 2016 Belgian representative Laura Tesoro, and 2021 co-presenter Nikkie de Jager.
