Iva Zanicchi is an Italian singer, television presenter and politician. She started her career in 1962 when she finished in third place at the Castrocaro Music Festival and five years later in 1967 won the San Remo Festival, which she won twice more in 1969 and 1974.
She represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 1969 in Madrid with the song Due grosse lacrime bianche, finishing in 13th place.
Iva is best known to television viewers in Italy as the host of OK! Il prezzo รจ giusto, the Italian version of the long-running game show The Price is Right. She held the position from 1987 until 2000.
Today she is a politician for the Forza Italia party, and was a member of the European Parliament from 2004 till 2014. She was invited to compete in the 72nd Sanremo Festival in 2022.
