I Wanna was the Latvian entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn performed by Marie N. It is an up-tempo song reminiscent of Latin rhythms and featured Marie taking off her clothes at points in her performance to reveal a floor-length pink gown.
Latvia would've been relegated from the 2002 contest for a poor result the previous year, but as Portugal withdrew, their space was given to Latvia. Latvia and the Netherlands were tied in 2001, but Latvia's highest score set was 8 compared to the Netherlands' 6, allowing Latvia to compete.
Had this occured under the current tiebreaker rules, the Netherlands would've been allowed to compete, as they received points from 5 different countries, while Latvia only received points from two.
It was performed 23rd on the night following Slovenia and preceding Lithuania. At the close of voting, it was declared the winner with 176 points, giving Latvia its first win in only its third appearance in the contest.
The song did not sell well after the contest, not even in its own territory.
