Hovig Demirjian, who goes by his stage name Hovig, is a Cypriot artist with Armenian origins. He was a contestant on The X Factor Greece in 2009, the same year as 2012 entrant for Cyprus, Ivi Adamou. He made many attempts to represent Cyprus in Eurovision - in 2010, placing joint-3rd and 2015, placing 4th.
He was chosen internally to represent Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev with the song Gravity, written by Thomas G:son. He finished in 21st place in the final.
Hovig also delivered the Cypriot jury votes for the 2018 and 2019 contests.
