Guy Sebastian is an Australian singer-songwriter originating from Adelaide in South Australia. He was born in Klang, in Malaysia.
He is best known to Australians as the very first winner of Australian Idol in 2003, his debut single "Angels Brought Me Here" was the biggest-selling song of the first decade of the 21st century. From 2010 to 2012, he served as a judge on Australia's version of The X-Factor, recently mentoring Samantha Jade to a victory in 2012. He returned to the judging panel in 2015.
In 2019, he joined The Voice Australia as a coach.
He represented Australia at the 2015 contest in the grand final as a guest country, performing the self-composed song Tonight Again, finishing in 5th place.
