Gili Natanel is an Israeli singer. When he was only 12 years old, he represented Israel with Galit Burg in the Eurovision Song Contest 1989 with the song Derech Hamelech, which got 12th place with 50 points. He wasn't the only young singer that year, but there was an even younger singer named Nathalie Pâque that represented France which was only 11 years old and she got 8th place, meanwhile Gili got 12th place.
It was due to his and Nathalie's appearances that the EBU decided that all the following years that the minimum age limit for participation to be 16 and over, meaning that Nathalie's world record for youngest singer of Eurovision and Sandra Kim's world record for the youngest winner of Eurovision both would be impossible to break.
