Galit Shira Burg, formerly known as Galit Burg, was an Israeli singer.

Burg was born in Bat-Yam at the June 8th, 1968, first child out of 6. Her dad was the cousin of singer Mike Brant.

Galit was hired by manager Shlomo Tzach to follow 12 year old Gili Netanel with the song Derech Hamelech in the 1989 Kdam Eurovision, regarding his young age, and thus reforming the duo "Gili & Galit". The duo won and were selected to represent Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest 1989 in Lausanne. The two finished the competition in the 12th place, with 50 points.

After the contest, the duo published an English version to the song, named "Shine for Tomorrow", and a short time after, the duo was split.

By her own, in 1991, Burg has created the band "Tremp", located in Holon, where she later married the guitar player of the band in 1996 and lived with him for a while in the USA until the two were divorced. In 1995, she was nominated to replace hostess Merav Lavin for the Israeli format of "Wheel of Fortune", but lost to Ruth Gonzales. In 1997, she released a dance song named "You Are the One" in Europe under the nickname "Galecia".

In the early 2000's she has return in teshuva and marriages again to a Chabad follower. She changed her full name to Galit Shira Burg by the suggestion of her rabbi. In 2005, she released an album named "Noga'at Becha" ("Touching You"), which included duet songs of her with her husband.

In 2013, Burg auditioned for the first season of "X Factor Israel", but didn’t pass her audition.

In November 28, 2022, Burg was killed in a car accident in road 4314. She died at the age of 54. She left behind her a husband and 2 kids.
