The Founding Seven are the seven countries that were the very first to compete at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Three of these nations are also part of the Big Five.
All seven of these nations have won the contest at least once.

- Belgium (RTBF/VRT)
- France (France 2)
- Germany (ARD/NDR)
- Italy (RAI) did not compete between 1998-2010, returned in 2011
- Luxembourg (RTL) last competed in 1993
- The Netherlands (AVROTROS)
- Switzerland (SRG SSR)
