Snezana Berić, better known as Extra Nena, is a Serbian singer, actress, and professor.
When she was sixteen, she lost her parents, forcing her to take care of herself and her sister. In the meantime, she attended the Slavenski school, specializing in solo vocals, in Belgrade. Her distinct voice allowed her to get recognized after her debut album release in 1985, and she participated in a number of festivals.
In 1992, she won Jugovizija, getting the chance to represent a quickly disintegrating Yugoslavia at the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 in Malmo. At this point, the name would only be attached to the area now known as Serbia and Montenegro, though Bosnian entries were sent in as well. The song, Ljubim te pesmama, came in 13th in what would be the country's final appearance in the contest.
Since then, she released a number of albums, though after 2007, she retired from music temporarily as she completed her doctorate in economics and now works as a lecturer for intercultural management and management in art and music at the private Megatrend University in Belgrade.
However, in 2019, Extra Nena released a new album and participated in that year's Beovizija with the song Još ti čujem glas.
