Euphoria was the Swedish entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku performed by Loreen after storming to victory at Melodifestivalen, the Swedish national selection contest. It is a song in the Eurodance genre with some slow parts and a high-energy chorus.
It qualified from the second semifinal in first place. In the final, it was performed 17th following Greece and preceding Turkey. At the close of voting, it was declared the winner with 372 points, giving Sweden its 5th victory and shattering the record for the most 12-point scores awarded to a single country with 18 (a record since shared with Salvador Sobral in 2017 when he received 18 sets of 12s from the national juries).
After the contest, "Euphoria" became a massive hit around the continent, topping the charts in 19 countries and even peaking in the top 40 in Australia. In the United Kingdom, it debuted at #3, making it the highest-charting non-British Eurovision entry since Hold Me Now in 1987.
It has also won the annual ESC 250 countdown every year from 2012 until 2021.
