Equinox

 Equinox is a Bulgarian band consisting of Bulgarian members Zhana Bergendorff, Vlado Mihalov and Giorgi Simeonov; and American members Trey Campbell and Johnny Manuel. They were formed especially for Eurovision.

On 12 March 2018, the group was chosen internally to represent Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon with the song Bones, finishing in 14th place in the final.

Trivia[]

  • Zhana won the second season of X Factor Bulgaria in 2013, and has lived abroad in Denmark and South Korea.
  • Johnny Manuel participated in the 12th season of America's Got Talent in 2017 and reached the semifinals, his audition performance won him a Golden Buzzer and went viral. In 2020, he auditioned for the 9th series of The Voice Australia, joining 2015 Australian representative Guy Sebastian's team. He finished as co-runner up to Guy's brother Chris.
  • Trey Campbell has written for artists such as Dua Lipa and Bebe Rexha.
