Emma Muscat is a Maltese singer and model working in Italy. She discovered music at an early age and studied at the University of Performing Arts. She released her first single in 2016.

She participated in the seventeenth edition of the talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi in Italy in 2018, finishing in 4th place and earning her a contract with Warner Music Italy.

She represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin. Originally, she was to have performed the song Out of Sight, but on 14 March 2022 it was announced she would perform the song I Am What I Am instead. She finished in 16th place in the second semifinal.

Trivia[]

  • She has been playing piano since she was 5[1], she also had many ballet lessons, horse riding lessons, played in quite a few musical stage plays at her school.
  • She has worked as a model for brands such as Elvive, L'Oreal, KIKO.
  • Prior to taking "I Am What I Am" to Turin, she was offered the song Sand. Emma rejected it, and it was eventually picked up by Saba as the 2024 Danish entry.
