Douwe Bob Posthuma is a Dutch singer-songwriter specializing in country and folk music. His father, Simon, is best known for being a member of the design collective The Fool, which made the costumes for the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
In 2012 he participated in the Dutch TV show De beste singer-songwriter van Nederland and went on to win the competition. His first album was released in 2013.
After much rumors and speculation, it was announced by AVROTROS that he would represent the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm performing the song Slow Down, which he co-wrote. He finished in 11th place in the final.
He presented the Dutch jury vote results during the final of the 2017 contest.

- Douwe opened a bar in Stockholm that ran during the entirety of Eurovision Week. It opened on May 7th and the invited guests included Amir Haddad (France), Sandhja (Finland), Zoë Straub (Austria), Sergey Lazarev (Russia), Jüri Pootsmann (Estonia), Francesca Michielin (Italy) and Barei (Spain).
