Dollie de Luxe were a Norwegian pop duo, featuring Benedicte Adrian (vocals) and Ingrid Bjørnov (keyboards, vocals).
The two women grew up together in Oslo; in January 1979 they played their version of ABBA's Summer Night City on NRK, which got them a record deal under the name Dollie. The following year, they released their debut album, which was certified Gold and won them the Spellemann Prize in 1980.
They released their second album, Dollie's dagbok in 1981; it only peaked at #10 but got them some attention abroad. That same year, they competed in Melodi Grand Prix with the song 1984, which came in sixth. They also participated in the contest in 1982.
Two years later, they won Melodi Grand Prix, giving them the right to represent Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest 1984 with the song Lenge Leve Livet. Incidentially, it took place in Luxembourg, where they were offered to represent them. The song placed 17th with 29 points.
That same year, they released their self-titled album, which featured the track "Queen of the Night/Satisfaction". A hybrid of rock and opera music, it sold 250,000 copies and peaked at #20 in France. This experiment would further expand with the album Rock/Opera, which was certified silver.
Their musical Which Witch premiered at Bergen International Festival in 1987. The musical was staged at a West End theatre in London in 1992, with 76 performances. In 1995 they toured with the musical Henriette og hennes siste ekte menn, and also released the album Prinsessens utvalgte with selections from the musical
