Chingiz Mustafayev, also known mononymously as Chingiz, is an Azeri singer, songwriter and musician. Born in Moscow, he moved to Azerbaijan when he was six and started learning guitar and songwriting at a very young age. In 2007, he was invited to audition for the Azeri version of Pop Idol, which he won.
In 2013, he represented Azerbaijan at the New Wave competition in Latvia, and two years later he participated in The Voice of Ukraine.
He represented Azerbaijan at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv with the song Truth. He finished in 8th place in the grand final, Azerbaijan's first top-10 placing in 6 years.
