Célia Lawson is a Portuguese singer who began her career at the age of fifteen as a singer with Portuguese rock and cover bands before going solo.
She represented her home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 1997 in Dublin with the song Antes do adeus, which finished in joint last place with Nul Points.
Post-Contest, she has been performing as a rock singer under the pseudonym 'Ira'.
