Brooke Scullion is an Irish singer. She came to prominence in the ninth season of The Voice UK, receiving the first 4-chair turn of the season and joining Meghan Trainor's team. She advanced all the way to the final where she finished in third place.
She represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin with the song That's Rich. She is the youngest artist to represent her country in the contest, beating Molly Sterling's record. She finished in 15th place in the second semifinal.
Following Eurovision, in early 2023, Brooke participated in the sixth series of the Irish version of Dancing With The Stars, which was previously hosted by 2016 Irish representative Nicky Byrne. In the first episode, she and her then partner Maurizio Benenato (who departed the programme for family reasons after 2 weeks) scored the highest opening score in the competition with 25 points. Following Benenato's departure, Brooke was paired with Robert Rowinski. On 26 February, Brooke and Rowinski scored the first 30 points on the series, thus firmly placing Brooke as the favourite to win the series. However, Brooke and Rowinski finished runner-up to radio presenter Carl Mullan and his professional partner Emily Barker.
She was a juror for Ireland in the 2023 contest held in Liverpool. She also performed at the Eurovillage in Liverpool. In late May 2023, she headlined her first concert in Dublin's The Academy venue. Brooke returned to the Eurovision bubble in 2024 when she acted as the spokesperson for the public vote in Ireland's 2024 Eurosong selection.
Trivia[]
- Brooke shares the same birthday as Samanta Tīna (31 March), though Brooke is ten years younger.
- Notably, of all Irish acts that failed to qualify for the final between 2013-2023, Brooke is the only Irish non-qualifier who has benefitted from participating at Eurovision, as her career really kicked off following her participation in the 2022 event.
