Brendan Murray is an Irish singer. He is best known for being a member of the boy band HomeTown since 2014, who released 2 #1 hits on the Irish charts: "Cry For Help" and "Where I Belong". The group is currently taking time away to focus on individual projects.
It was announced by RTE on 16 December 2016 that Brendan would represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev, he was hand-picked by X Factor UK judge and Irish music mogul Louis Walsh, who currently manages him. He performed the song Dying to Try, which finished in 13th place in the second semifinal.
In 2018, he auditioned for the 15th season of The X Factor UK. He made it to the live shows, but was eliminated in the semifinal round.
He made another attempt to represent Ireland at Eurovision in 2022 with the song "Real Love", but finished in last place in the national final.
