Bobbejaan Schoepen was a Belgian singer, songwriter and musician also known for being an entrepreneur and actor. He is known for being a pioneer of Flemish-language music in Belgium across many different genres.

He represented Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 1957 in Frankfurt where he was a last-minute replacement for another artist. Performing the song Straatdeuntje, which was notable for having a whistling solo, he finished in joint 8th place with the Swiss entry.

He passed away on 17 May 2010, one day after his 85th birthday, of cardiac arrest. The amusement park he founded which bears his name, Bobbejaanland, opened in 1961 and still exists today.
