Boaz Ma'uda is an Israeli singer of Yemenite Jewish descent. He was born and raised in moshav Elyakim, where he still lives today.
He rose to fame in his homeland after winning the fifth season of the talent show "Kokhav Nolad". His voice has been described as somewhere between David D'Or and Dana International, both Eurovision alumni.
He was internally selected by the IBA to represent Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song The Fire In Your Eyes, written by Dana herself. Qualifying to the final, it placed 9th with 124 points.
Since then, he has released a self-titled album in 2009, along with a few singles.
