Birgitta Haukdal Brynjarsdóttir, better known by her first-name only, is an Icelandic singer.
She made her start with the Icelandic pop group, Írafár. They released their debut single, "Hvar er eg?" in 2000, and their debut album, Allt sem ég sé, two years later. The album hit platinum and became one of Iceland's fastest-selling albums. For it, Brigitta won Star of the Year and Pop Artist of the Year a year later.
That same year, Birgitta represented Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 in Riga with the song Open Your Heart, which placed joint 8th place with 81 points.
Birgitta released two more albums with Írafár, and tried to return to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006, 2008, and 2013.
She was one of the five jurors for Iceland in the 2015 contest in Vienna.
