Birgit Thielemann, prefessionaly known as Birgit Brüel, was a Danish singer. She was chosen to represent Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 1965 in Naples with the song For din skyld. At the close of voting, she came 7th place with 10 points.
She passed away from unknown causes at the age of 68 on the 23rd of February 1996.
