Anis Basim Moujahid, known professionally as Basim, is a Danish singer of Moroccan origin. At the age of 15, he took part in the 2008 edition of Danish version of The X-Factor, making the quarterfinals before being voted out. He released his debut album soon after, reaching #8 on the Danish chart and going gold. Another followed in 2009.
He represented Denmark on home ground at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen with the song Cliché Love Song after winning the 2014 edition of DMGP and finished in 9th place overall in the final.
Basim was also the Danish spokesperson for the 2015 contest in Vienna.
He was one of the five jurors for Denmark in the 2016 contest in Stockholm.
