Aysel Mammadova, known professionally by her stage name AISEL, is an Azeri singer, songwriter and musician. She was raised in a musical family and attended the State Conservatory in Baku. She specializes in ethno-jazz and has performed in numerous jazz festivals around the world.
On 8 November 2017, she was chosen to represent Azerbaijan at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon via internal selection with the song X My Heart. It placed 11th in the first semi-final, making it Azerbaijan's first non-qualification in Eurovision.
In 2019, Aisel competed at the New Wave festival. She finished in 8th place.
