Aminata Savadogo, known professionally by her first name Aminata, is a Latvian singer-songwriter. She is of Latvian and Russian descent on her mother's side and her father is from Burkina Faso.
Aminata has taken part in several televised talent shows in Latvia and has attempted to represent her country at Eurovision once before, finishing in 5th place in the 2014 national final. In 2015, she won the talent competition Supernova, earning her the right to represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna with the song Love Injected. She qualified from the second semifinal in 2nd place and finished in 6th place in the final - Latvia's best finish since 2005.
She is currently a student at the University of Latvia and recently released her debut album called Inner Voice.
Aminata wrote the song Heartbeat for Justs, who succeeded her as the Latvian representative in Stockholm. She also wrote Samanta Tīna's entries for 2020 and 2021.
She competed in the 2016 edition of The Voice of Russia, joining her fellow Vienna contestant Polina Gagarina's team, but was eliminated in the battle rounds.
In 2020, she finished runner-up on the Latvian version of The Masked Singer as Lelle (The Doll).
She was one of the five jurors for Latvia in the 2018 contest in Lisbon and 2023 contest in Liverpool, as well as the spokesperson for Latvia in the 2017 and 2021 contests.
She was the hot favorite to win Supernova 2022 with the song "I'm Letting You Go", ultimately finishing runner-up.
