Amaury Vassili is a French opera singer. He started singing at age 9 and won his first singing contest at age 14. He considers Belgian singer Jacques Brel as his idol.
He released his debut album Vincerò in 2009, which went double platinum in France, and he has enjoyed success in Canada, South Korea and South Africa.
Amaury was chosen internally to represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf with the song Sognu. It finished in 15th place despite being the bookies' heavy favorite to win going into the contest. A year later, he was the French vote spokesperson for the 2012 contest in Baku.
In October 2015, he released his fifth studio album Chansons populaires.
In 2022, he won the 4th season of The Masked Singer France as "Tortue" (Turtle).
