Alsou Ralifovna Abramova (née Safina), better known professionally by her first name, is a Russian singer, songwriter and actress. She began her career in 1998 at the age of 15 and released her first album in 1999 that became a huge hit in Russia spawning several successful singles.

She represented her country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2000 in Stockholm performing the song Solo. She finished second, at that time Russia's best ever finish since the country's debut in 1994, and was the nation's biggest-selling single in 2000.

Alsou later co-hosted the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow alongside Ivan Urgant, and has also acted as the Russian spokesperson in the 2013, 2014 and 2018 contests.
