Alpha Beta was a 5-piece Israeli singing group made up of two males (Reuven Erez and Itzak Okev) and three females (Lisa Gold-Rubin, Nehama Shutan and Esther Tzuberi).
They teamed up with soloist Izhar Cohen to represent Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest 1978 in Paris with the song A-Ba-Ni-Bi. Izhar's vocals combined with the enthusiastic choreography of the quintet helped Israel to their first win with 157 points and were given full credit for their efforts.
