All was the debut entry for the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 1957 performed by Patricia Bredin. The UK had attempted to send an entry to the inaugural contest in 1956, but missed the deadline.

The song was performed third on the night following Luxembourg and preceding Italy. At the close of voting, it finished in 7th place with 6 points.

The UK elected to sit out the 1958 contest, but would come back in 1959 and begin the longest uninterrupted participation streak in contest history.

Lyrics[]

All the golden dreams of yesterday
All the fragrance of a bygone May
All the words two hearts in love can say
All you'll ever mean to me, my darling

All we've shared throughout the passing years
All the laughter, all the sighs, the tears
All the joy of living, loving and forgiving
These are all to me

All the laughter, all the sighs, the tears
All the joy of living, loving and forgiving
These are all to me

  • This is the first ever song to be performed in English at the Contest.
  • Coincidentally, this was performed before Eurovision's longest entry, "Corde della mia chitarra".
