Alena Shirmanová-Kostebelova, professionally known as Aiko is a Russian-born Czech singer now based in London. She got her first break in 2015 when she participated in the 4th season of Česko Slovenská SuperStar (the joint Czech and Slovak version of the Idol franchise) and reached the semifinals.
In 2018, she released her first album, and released 2 more since. She became the first Czech artist to feature on the screen in Times Square in New York City, and the first Czech female artist to part in the Spotify Equal campaign.
She represented Czechia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmo with the song Pedestal, finishing in 11th place in the second semifinal.
She has submitted a song with her girlfriend, Kat Almagro, to the 2025 Edition of the Benidorm Fest, Spain’s Eurovision selection.
