Afroditi Frida is a Greek singer.
Born and raised in Athens, she studied at the Athens National Conservatory for eight years before starting her music career in 1984. That same year, she was one of ten contestants at the Greek national final to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 1984; however, she didn't win.
Four years later, she came back with the song Clown; despite the Greek delegation believing that none of the songs were worthy to go to Dublin, she ended up winning the chance to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 1988. Complimented with an embarrassing performance, she placed 17th with 10 points from only the Turkish and French juries.
However, this didn't end her music career, as she released four albums since 1989 and collaborated with a number of Greek singers, as well as performing in small venues across Athens.
