A festa da vida (translation: The party of life) was the Portuguese entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 1972 in Edinburgh performed by Carlos Mendes.
The song is a ballad, with Mendes singing that the world needs to view life as a party in order to dismiss the negativity of the world. He describes this party fondly, mentioning "bread, wine and roses on the table" and hoping that it will "last until daybreak".
It was performed 7th on the night following Norway and preceding Switzerland. At the close of voting, it finished in 7th place with 90 points, one of their best finishes at the time.
