Last year, I made a prediction that the next time Sweden sends a Eurovision entry in Swedish is the year I die. In hindsight, probably not a very good idea. But then again, it's just a prediction, it doesn't mean anything.
And yes, the last time Sweden sent a song in Swedish to Eurovision was the same year I was born, so that's what inspired the prediction.

As far as I know, ever since 2016, it has been a tradition that the first country to give the jury points is the previous host and the last is the current host/previous winner. In the case of 2023, the former of these would clearly be Italy. However, given the special circumstances of this contest, being held in the United Kingdom but with some involvement from Ukraine (the previous winner) to the point that it's the Ukrainian flag in the logo, I was wondering which of the two countries would be the last to give their jury points this year. I still think it's likely that the two countries will be the two last countries to give the jury points. Has this been confirmed by the EBU anywhere?
What about Curse of 41 (currently there is a Curse of 43)? 41 has a higher failure rate than 43, though 43 has more total occurrences. The rate for Curse of 43 is 4/7 or roughly 57%.
Curse of 41 is a bit more complicated in terms of what would count though there are 4 years that had or were going to have 41 participants, and all 4 are in fact consecutive years 2019-2022. 2019 is the only one which actually ended up having 41 countries competing in a contest that was actually held, though 2019 was originally supposed to have 42 participating countries so it might not even count as a proper counterexample. 2020 on the other hand was the only year in which there were originally going to be 41 participants and nobody withdrew but in 2020, the entire contest was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 2021 and 2022 were both originally going to have 41 participants but both had countries withdrawing/banned and ended up with 39 and 40 participants, respectively.
